Is Cristiano Ronaldo planning to leave Al Nassr for Al Hilal?
Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo became a trailblazer once more in late 2022, when he completed a dramatic move to the Middle East to join the Saudi Pro League. He was a free agent at the time, having seen his contract with Premier League heavyweights Manchester United canceled.
CR7 made an immediate effect in Saudi Arabia, with more household names flocking to join him in that part of the world, and he is still working on the most valuable projects. He has, however, failed to inspire Al-Nassr to a major title.
Al Hilal looking to sign Cristiano Ronaldo
According to reports, Ronaldo may be approached to join reigning Pro League champions Al-Hilal.
According to reports, Al-Hilal is prepared to play for Cristiano Ronaldo at their mid-season break in January 2025. They are still chasing a domestic title while also fighting for AFC Champions League glory, and they want another proven goal scorer on their roster.
Ronaldo, at 39 years old, would fit that description. He has tallied 74 goals for Al-Nassr via 84 games, hitting a half-century last season, and expressed a desire to reach 1,000 in total throughout the length of his remarkable career before considering retirement.
Mohamad Salah in talks to join Saudi Pro League
On the other hand, PROLEAGUEFOOTBLLSAUDI understands Saudi champions Al-Hilal have identified Liverpool star Mohamed Salah as their main objective for next summer. Salah’s move to the Saudi Pro League would be a centrally negotiated agreement, and any development currently hinges on the Egyptian.
Reported earlier: Mohamed Salah may move to Saudi Professional Leagues
Saudi Pro League sporting director Michael Emenalo has a good and long-standing relationship with Salah, and there is an understanding that patience is required. That is because Salah is yet to determine whether he wants to leave Liverpool next summer or stay, and Saudi Pro League officials want to respect both his and Liverpool’s decision-making processes.
If Salah decides to leave Liverpool, the primary points of discussion in any new negotiations will be the signing-on price and start date. The basic wage and bonuses will remain largely unchanged from the previous Al-Ittihad offer, which was similarly centrally directed.
