At the King Abdullah Sport City Stadium, Buraidah, Saudi Arabia on Thursday, Al-Raed takes on Al-Shabab in an attempt to win just their second game in the premier league.
Al-Raed, who have six points from 12 games played, are mired at the bottom of the league standings after a dismal start to the 2023–24 campaign.
Their lone victory to date came on matchday four at home, where they defeated Al-Riyadh 3-0. Raed Al Tahadi appeared to be returning to form after losing their first three games, but as time has gone on, it has increasingly appeared to be a false dawn.

Their record is just four wins, but two of those victories have occurred in their last three games, one of which was an unexpected 1-0 victory over Al-Ittihad, led by Karim Benzema, last Friday.

A close 2-1 victory over Al Fateh in the King Cup of Champions round of 16 came in between this run. The hosts’ goal came from Cristian Tello in the first half, but Yannick Carrasco scored the game’s game-winning goal in extra time to advance them.
